Getting a taxi in Bath

Bath Spa Station is one of Bath's taxi ranks, alongside Abbey (Orange Grove), Henry Street, Queen Square and Westgate Buildings; George Street, Southgate Street and Walcot Street operate as night-time ranks from 9:45pm to 6am. Hackney carriages (white plates, 'Taxi' roof sign, council-set metered fares) can be hired at ranks or hailed in the street, while private hire vehicles (yellow plates and a yellow half-moon roof sign reading 'Advance booking only') must be pre-booked through a licensed operator by phone or app. Bath & North East Somerset Council also publishes a voluntary list of local firms with wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
