What we do
- List local taxi and private hire operators by town, city, region and airport across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- Show how each operator can be reached: phone number, website and booking apps where they exist.
- Note practical details such as card payment, wheelchair-accessible vehicles and airport transfers where the operator publishes them.
- Publish plain-English passenger guides on licences, fares, complaints and lost property.
What we are not
- We are not a taxi operator and we do not employ or vet drivers.
- We do not take bookings or payments. You always deal directly with the operator you choose.
- We are not a licensing authority. Taxis and private hire vehicles are licensed by local councils, by Transport for London in London, and by the Driver & Vehicle Agency in Northern Ireland.
